Description

The City of New Richmond is seeking a motivated and energetic team player to join our highly effective Public Works team. The Public Works Operator position uses skilled and technical equipment operation in the construction, maintenance and repair of City streets, parks, trails, stormwater, facilities, and other infrastructure. This is a regular full-time position and may require some emergency call outs as necessary including in the winter for snow plowing.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the methods used in parks, street, drainage, and facilities maintenance. They will also have knowledge of safe operations, maintenance and minor service of various vehicles and equipment.

Employees must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a valid Wisconsin Driver's License without restrictions. WI Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with tanker and air brake endorsement (or ability to obtain within one year of hire) is required. High School diploma or GED is required. Previous experience or background working in the area of public works or similar work is preferred.

The pay range for the position is $28.66-$39.30; the starting pay rate is anticipated between $28.66-$32.75 per hour, and will be determined based upon experience and qualifications.
